DRAWING THE MAPS TO MY SOUL: October 2020

It's crazy how different things were exactly a year ago. I was having the best time and feeling the most relaxed I've ever felt in my adult life. I'm so glad last year me just committed to this almost three week vacation. It was so rejuvenating at the time and also helpful for me now to look back at the over 500 photos. I feel so lucky to have the friends and family I have. They made this trip what it was. ♡♡+.ﾟ(￫ε￩*)ﾟ+.ﾟ

October

Tuesday the 1st

A great start to the month and perfect send off: Bombay Bicycle Club at the House of Blues!

Mad at Destini for not coming with us. She and Jordan were the ones who introduced me! ( ｰ̀εｰ́ )

Wednesday the 2nd

Landed in Austin in time for lunch.

My first meal in Texas were burgers from here. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I have this.

After reuniting with the family and taking the nephew to children's museum, us cousins went out for a drink on a little rooftop.

The resemblance is strong.

Thursday the 3rd

Sabrina took me out to brunch

Checked out the Blanton Museum of Art after.

It looked quite big from the outside but didn't have as much art inside.

There was also a building/installation on the museum grounds.

The first and last time I used the phone's panorama abilities.

They operated out of a cute tiny trailer car.

Friday the 4th

Chillin with Ellion. I hate playing video games with children cause they talk a lotta smack even though you've never played before ahaha

Sabrina, Angie, Mimi, her boyfriend, and I went out for dinner and this is the only picture I took... I've gotten really bad at this hahaha

Saturday the 5th

Uncle Bruce took us to breakfast.

Sunday the 6th

We went to the Museum of the Weird

They had all the classic horror movie villians throughout the building tour.

After seeing the infamous Iceman, the tour guide does a little show.

After Angie helped pull a nail out of his nose.

My souvenirs. The lip shit packaging is so cute but sucks as a balm.

Visited the state capitol after some food.

Pretty building. Now if only pretty useful things came out of it...

Dinner at Chi'lantro

Monday the 7th

Sabrina dropped me off at my next stop: Lucy's childhood home!

I love how perfectly this trip all timed together.

Went to a cute little cafe to meet up with Jaclyn.

Went to a bar where they had Malort so of course we had to take a shot. I feel so bad to Jaclyn every time I watch this story XD

Tuesday the 8th

Lucy's brother owns a really cool ranch/rescue/track place we got to visit.

Wednesday the 9th

My last day in Texas. Unfortunately, I couldn't head to Houston with Lucy and Isa, but I will next time!

Said bye to the house, ate some bbq, and then went for a swim before getting on my plane!

Oh god I'm so tired of remembering I have pictures somewhere else and am in a rush to finish I can't even take decent pictures of the pictures ahhh

Thursday the 10th

A whole day of touristy stuff with Jose!

Friday the 11th

A full day hanging out with an annoying little brother hahaha

I think because I was so relaxed the whole trip, everyone's pets LOVED me. Such a good feeling~ (♡ >ω< ♡)

Saturday the 12th

I love waking up to a furry friend next to me T___T

Met up with the rest of the LA SAS peeps at the famous Thai place.

It was a little salty.

Hahaha I don't know why Adele looks so sad/mad in the first one. Naima had to catch a flight so she couldn't join in on our shenanagins at Connor's after dinner.

Sunday the 13th

I ordered Roscoe's delivery to Adele's.

Took Jonathan to his first Kspa.

All the rooms were too hot for him =..= hahaha

We parted ways at the sauna and I headed to Connor's, where I was staying next.

Monday the 14th

Dad dropped me off in Ktown for my nail appointment. I have no picture because it honestly turned out bad. I was very sad cause all her client photos were really nice. I did get to try the famous hotdog and then checked out the market to buy some snacks that Chicago doesn't have.

Jonathan left his VR at Connor's so I had Adele and Connor try. We also saw the giant Scientology compound on the way to dropping Adele off. Then more VR.

Tuesday the 15th

Finally said goodbye to this pair. Served me sooo well for 4 years. Honestly the best and probably my favorite shoes I've ever had.

My next stop: Han's!

Wednesday the 16th

Connor got a puppy! And then he was gonna leave him to watch a movie premier. So I volunteered to puppysit. And then he ended up not going. A bad man, that one.

A bad man who bought me dinner hahaha (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖ The restaurant let Blue in and he just slept under the table. Then he slept in my lap on the drive back to Han's. He was the cutest weighted blanket. （*´▽｀*)

Friday the 18th

YEEEE~~~!!!!! After watching all those commercials of families going to Disney as a child, I finally got to go too!!

Saturday the 19th

Sunday the 20th

Didn't care about getting pictures with characters (plus the lines were insane) but we had to do the landmarks. There were two photographers and Sandy was like "I don't want the guy." Guess who we got.

I want to go again to just watch and not worry about pictures because it is a damn good show. I was absolutely enchanted and can't imagine what it's like for children when they watch. I even cried at the end. The show, the whole experience, the whole vacation was an absolute joy and also coming to an end. I was just so happy an thankful for everything.
