The rest of June through September....of last year

At least I'm consistent in always being at least a year behind? But thanks to quarantine, catching up to 2020 will be a breeze! But man... blogger is really making it hard to want to blog lol... Every time it changes, it gets more annoying to use/looks worse. But I've already spent over ten years on here so... guess I gotta keep using it. Same with photobucket. Until I ever get the energy to replace all the photos' hosting... or the money to pay someone else to do it, gotta stick with it! ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡ 

June:

Monday the 10th
The first and last Backroom Shakespeare I will ever partake in. Absolutely loved watching it, but when it was my turn, I called for line every line. It's sooo difficult or me to memorize Shakespeare. I don't know how people do it. (　〇□〇)

One of my favorite scenes. Gage as Ophelia was heartbreaking. Everyone did so good!

My favorite scenes were Ophelia going mad and Hamlet murdering his uncle.

Sunday the 16th

Mini fox fam reunion for Soul Summit!

Dreaming of the day we can go out dancing and grab diner food after, again...T___T

Monday the 17th

Unfortunate ad placement.

Plans were canceled so I gotta preserve the beat.

Saturday the 22nd

Did a staged reading of The Name Jar! It's a children's book that Emerald City Theatre developed into a play. It was the first time where the majority of the people in the process room were Korean and it was such a wonderful experience.

New friends Donovan, Eli, and Janyce!

Finally got to work with Chicago veteran Mia.

Helen moderated, Sue wrote, Isabelle stage managed, and Jackie directed!

We were surprised when we were told there was a little girl in the audience who was actually named Unhei! So we got to meet and were excited for her to see the full production the following summer. Unfortunately, the company had to close before that happened... But I do feel positive that once live theatre can open again, it will find a home!

Tuesday the 25th

A new chicken place opened. It's pretty good.

Had a first rehearsal for a play reading and was so excited to see Jose again!

Tuesday the 2nd

The sky is always one of my favorite things about summer. Is it prettier in summer or is it just cause I'm actually outside to see it?

Wednesday the 3rd

We had rehearsal at the Swedish Museum.

Thursday the 4th

Went over to K's!

Went for a stroll to the park and watched whatever fireworks were going on around it.

Unf they just looked so fluffy and soft!

It was Morgan's last shift at Front Bar so a few of us went to drink!

Saturday the 6th

Went to the Naperville H Mart while in the area to finalize getting my new car.

I would still like more marts to do this.

Had to go back to the dealer a few days later so of course... The best flavor out of all of these is definitely the mala.

Lunch with Lisa and Destini and then the Urban Outfitter's outlet after. I finally went after Lisa and I talked about it YEARS ago in college. I got a really cute skirt for $5 which has still never been worn. ¯\(◉‿◉)/¯

I think I had an audition or something. Finally tried the rainbow soup dumplings from Imperial Lamian since I was down the street. My faves were the truffle and crab.

Thursday the 25th

I think Sarah, Destini, and I were watching a Steep show this day. We met with Lucy and Devon at Pearl's prior. 

Saturday the 27th

I met with my other friend Sarah to see True West. It was SO GOOD. I will never get over the toast scene. We went to get ice cream after at Jeni's and got to experience the horror? joy? of the abomination that it was attached to. 

It just didn't seem real. It felt like a set piece pretending to be a little market. Most of the things they carried were just strange and the packaging was so generic it looked fake. I couldn't stop laughing cause everyone in there was thinking the same thing. I thank the girl standing in front of me who asked "what is this place??" out loud.

Chicago skyline is such a good skyline.

Monday the 29th

I need to go somewhere where things aren't in the way of the clouds.

Went to Darcy's going away party.

Saturday the 3rd

Tried out the Hampton Social with Becca

The food was okay. It's mostly their aesthetic and their alcohol that people go for.

FINALLY got the Godiva cone after years of wanting but never getting. It got harder in recent years as a lot of locations closed.

A movie that Helen and Curtis were in was premiering privately for cast and crew at the Logan. Grateful Helen was able to get me in!

Saturday the 10th

Popped in at Isa's work

Then went to see Sam's show.

We went to the nearest open place after, which was unfortunately, Flaco's Tacos, and ran into a childhood friend! I had to take a picture to send to Tina and Kevin.

I meant to tag Marcus cause the two always hung out without me. Now it was my turn.

I forgot what I was in the area for, but it ended early, so I asked Helen to join me for food. I forget how I knew she was free or near.

Major Lazer was having their last tour so we had to catch it them at North Coast.

Fantastic show as always. So sad about them breaking up because they have the most fun music to dance to and have the best dance team. So happy we didn't pay for the higher tiered ticket and "snuck" past to the front instead. North Coast really tried it. *making an Angelica face*

Love the new location. Hope they have it there again when festivals can safely happen again.

So nice to end the night with a loving gaze.

I was planning to see Helen and a couple others for food and she convinced me to see a live taping of a podcast her friends were doing before it.

I'm SO glad she did cause The Ajumma Show became one of my favorite podcasts after that night and I've spent a year now bingeing all the episodes from the beginning.

Friday the 6th

Went to Soldier Field for the first time for a shoot!

First and only time I'll probably ever see a football field. I never even watched games in high school.

My first and hopefully not last Fly Honey's show. Destini and Aurora were performing the same week so we made it a Fox Fam occasion.
